On a clear day, peaks in the Kedarnath-Gangotri Ranges to the west and beyond the Panchuli Peaks to the east are clearly visible - a wide spectrum view which Hartola has been blessed with.

The retreat is designed keeping in mind that different views exist s on all sides of the property. It is constructed with the traditional techniques - the wooden construction offers warmth and cosiness in the particularly chilly weather. The central living space opens beautifully to the outside and also accommodates the fireplace to deal with extremely chilly nights. There is ample source of natural light, and the balcony beautifully frames the sunset.
