Haldia Trade Centre

This trade and convention centre focused on the brief to create a lively, vibrant public infrastructure that accommodates practicality and functionality. The project stressed on maintain a high visibility to the campus, segregating but enabling various modes and forms of movement.

A central interlinked public space creates the spine, with a diagonal axis that bot increases the expansive nature of the plot as well as makes it dynamic. Banquet halls, auditoriums clubs and guest houses hold the central open space. The centre is occupied by the open to sky amphitheatre and the food court, thus bringing life and vibrancy to the very core of this public institution. The landscape details and softens the central plaza, breaking down the expansive space in multiple human scaled spaces.
