SPA new campus

The School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) is a premier institute of India that deals specifically with engagements in the Built Environment.

The Proposed Urban Design concept for the SPA campus thus tries to set the stage for an Institution that would act like a catalyst - critically addressing, questioning, influencing and safeguarding environmental concerns to promote appropriate, sustainable planning and design options of the future.

With the vision of planting a seed for a robust, resilient future Tree - the proposal focuses on activities and elements that anchor a sense of place within the campus. This is strengthened by efficient systems of movement, building services, functional and visual connections and landscape. Several responsible gestures such as a site level water conservations system, high efficiency service deployments and several environmental safeguards seek to create a holistic set of development controls for the campus.
